TanarataMUN 2026
TanarataMUN 2026 marks the fourth edition of Tanarata International Schools' Model United Nations. TanarataMUN is a platform for youth diplomacy; where delegates work together to achieve and become part of a collective vision for change.
This year's theme confronts one of the most overlooked dimensions of global inequality: the silence imposed on entire populations through state censorship, media blackouts, and the quiet indifference of the international community. When crises go unseen and unheard, the people living through them lose more than a voice - they lose the chance to be helped.
Our mission is to equip young leaders with the courage and skill to speak for the voiceless, using intelligent dialogue, genuine relationships, and shared goals to forge a future that is fairer, more united, and harder to ignore.
Letter from the
Secretary-General
Dear distinguished delegates, honourable Board of Dais, dedicated teacher advisors, and the public.
My name is Khoong Xiang Yuan and I am honoured to be serving as the Secretary-General of Tanarata International Schools Model United Nations Conference 2026.
This marks the fourth iteration of TanarataMUN. With this reflection of our legacy, as well as the future, we aim to provide all of you with an enjoyable and memorable experience, so, I hope that over the course of three days, you will have a fun time negotiating, fostering diplomacy, and socialising. I hope that what you take away from this conference is not just new skills such as writing, researching, and speaking, but also new friendships.
As an active participant in MUN conferences, whether as a delegate, chair, or secretariat, I have to say that it has shaped my life and broadened my perspectives. It’s taught me so many things that I wouldn’t learn elsewhere, and I hope that this conference can help you to grow too.
In the recent MUN scene, we’re met with more and more beginner delegates, so don’t fear if you are one yourself! We all start somewhere. As a matter of fact, we have amazing Board of Dais members who will be able to guide you through any difficulties or confusions you may face.
I believe that MUN is now more relevant than ever, given the recent geopolitical crisis happening all over the world. Diplomacy is our only way out now. I hope delegates take on the role of representing countries and forming long-lasting solutions for the issues we face now.
